Steve was injured in a parachuting accident while in the military.  As a result, he has several herniated discs, sciatica and bilateral knee issues, as well as PTSD and depression. He still manages to set and overcome personal challenges; It’s his hope that through the Soldiers to Summits program, that he’ll be able to work with fellow veterans to combat issues they may be struggling with.

For Steve, he says he finds outdoor and other recreational activities far more therapeutic than other forms of therapy. He enjoys skiing, kayaking, biking and hiking, in addition to relaxing near mountain streams, rivers and lakes.
